Eze Bloodless Castration Instructions

This is a step by step process of loading the castrator and the process of castrating.
Please utilize our Question & Answer page also.

The Castrator Pictured is the Model T-1 Bloodless Castrator.
Since these Pictures where taken, some modifications may have been made to the Model T-1.
Although, some components may be somewhat different, the overall operation is the same.

May also pull the pull rod back so it is out of the way for easier installation.

Eze Band Castration.  Hold band with thumb on top of sreader bar and index finger on end of spreader bar to keep from slipping off.
Hold band with thumb on top & index finger on end of spreader bar to keep from slipping off.
Latex ring.  Continue holding while stretching band with other hand.
Continue holding while stretching band with other hand.

Latex band.  Stretch to other spreader bar and attach to other end of spreader bar.
Stretch to other spreader bar and attach.

 

 

Livestock Bander.  When stretching band, try to stretch the upper portion of the band as tight as possible, leaving the lower portion with as much slack as possible.  Since this will be the portion that will be stretched the most.

Spreader bars of the Eze.  Hold the band with both thumbs on top and both index fingers in the end of spreader bars.

Latex band.  Start stretching the lower portion of the band with remaining fingers.
Start stretching lower portion of band with remaining fingers.

Pull band back.

 

Continue pulling band back until it is in groove of the pull back rod.
Continue until band is in groove of pull back rod.
eze castrator.   Ensure band isn't twisted when attaching to pull back rod of the eze.

Hold the side grip of the castrator.
Hold castrator by the side grip handle. Side Grip may be removed and placed on other side if needed.
Pull the pull back rod.
With other hand, pull the rod back untill the band slips through the hole where you placed the clip.
Continue pulling until end of rod comes through hole.
Make sure the castrator is facing upright, since the clip may slip out of the slot.

Clip must be in slot.


The eze bloodless castrator should be facing upwards to prevent the clip from falling out.
Stop once the end of the rod lines up with the backside of the slot.

Castration of livestock is ready.

Castrator is fully loaded.

 

Grip scrotum and squeeze several times to work fatty tissue down.
Firmly grip the scrotum and squeeze it a couple of times to work some of the fatty tissue downward. As if you were "Milking" a cow.

Continue holding the scrotum of the bull.
Continue holding the scrotum.

 

Slip the animals scrotum through the opening of the latex band.
Slip the scrotum through the band. Placing the band just above the testicles. DO NOT PLACE BAND NEXT TO THE BELLY. Just below it.

Release band from the bloodless castrator.
Release the band from the castrator.

 

 

To release band, continue holding scrotum with the same hand.  Jerk the castrator back.  Don't let the scrotum  move while performing this.

Let the base of the castrator rest next to the scrotum and let the scrotum

Re-establish your grip on the castrator. Place one hand on the side grip

Pull back the rod as far as possible. While performing these steps, be

Continue tightening with pistol grip handle.

There is a small stop weld on the pull back rod which will stop the rod

Use crimping handle to crimp aluminum retaining clip. Crimp until the

Now use the blade handle to cut the band.

Follow through with blade.

 

Until it cuts the band.

Now "Jerk" back on the castrator. And pull retaining clip from

Inspect band to ensure no twists are present, and not to close to belly.

Push pull back rod to original position. To do this, push and release
